Belvedere Service Station

- UIP Africa designed and supervised the construction works for a state-of-the-art fuel station just outside the Harare Central Business District. Extensive modelling was done using design packages to ensure smooth and safe flow of traffic
Puma Aviation Bulawayo Depot

- UIP Africa was commissioned to design the expansion of the Depot. This included design of concrete slabs and re-configuration of pipework and mechanical fittings.
OTHER PROJECTS
The works consisted of redesign and supervision of an 8km road. The new road provided the local community vital access to the local clinic as well as access to nearby markets in kwekwe.
UIP Africa was awarded the opportunity to project manage the construction of an exclusive upmarket development in Harare. The scope included supervising the design team and contractor on behalf of the developer.
Sakunda embarked on a landmark project to provide an emergency peaking power plant in Harare. UIP Africa was engaged to manage and provide structural designs on the construction of blast walls separating 50Megawatt Transformers.
Working with the developer UIP Africa carried out feasibility studies, secured funding and designed the infrastructure services on the state-of-the-art development. The development features the advent of LPG gas to reduce dependency on electricity for cooking and heating.
UIP Africa was commissioned to provide design and construction management services to construct a unique glass and thatch building. The building is located on an excavated hillside ledge. Care was taken to ensure that the design allowed maximum use of natural lighting and ventilation.
RMDJ Contractors was awarded a contract to construct 80 Low cost houses and UIP Africa was commissioned to provide Quality Control and Assurance services as well as to provide Programme management services. UIP Africa was also actively involved in the preparation of the winning proposal leading to the securing of the contract.
UIP Africa provided programme management services to John Sisk and Son who had been awarded the contract to completely refurbish the newly acquired office block in Arundel Harare. UIP Africa managed to keep the contractor on course and deliver the project within the contract period.
Working with internationally renowned architects Nico Van der Muelen Architects, UIP Africa was commissioned to project manage the construction of an ultra-modern house for a local businessman. The project saw the team managing a multinational team of experts and suppliers to deliver the project to the high expectations of the client.
UIP Africa was commissioned to manage and provide civil and structural designs for the largest LPG Depot under NOIC. The project is located in an area with a high-water table and engineering measures were taken to ensure subsurface water does not pose a detrimental risk to proposed structures and pavement. The designs included 2km rigid and flexible pavements with respective drainage system, office building, gantries, 4ML water tank, 2000MT LPG tanks and concrete structures.
UIP Africa was commissioned to design as well as project manage the construction of high security perimeter wall around the school. The scope of works also included security upgrade and reinforcement of certain structures to form saferooms in case of crisis.
